Tottenham Win at Everton Cage, Pochettino Satisfied

Tottenham Hotspur managed to win 3-0 at home to Everton in advanced fourth week English League match on Saturday (09/09/2017).

Spurs’ third goal in the game was created by Harry Kane (28th and 46th minute) and a Christian Eriksen goal in the 42nd minute.

Tottenham Hotspur coach, Mauricio Pochettino, revealed that he was quite satisfied with the performance of his players.

“It was a fantastic performance, very solid, we played very well against a very good team that was hard to beat at Goodison Park,” Pochettino told BBC Sport.com.

In the game, Harry Kane has managed to score again after getting a barren curse in August.

The English Premier League’s top scorer last season scored his 100th and 101st goals for Tottenham Hotspur.

“It’s fantastic for Kane to score again, I do not doubt that although he did not score in some games, he is a great striker,” Pochettino said.

This season there is a unique fact that two victories of the club origin of the city of London was actually achieved when the away party.

Prior to Everton this week, Spurs won 2-0 at Newcastle United.

Asked about their cage curse at Wembley, the Argentine coach said, “Maybe the curse is real, you know?”

“The only way to change it is to try to play well, I do not think there’s anything wrong there,” Pochettino said.
