Bafana Bafana suffers from premature ejaculation

A take about Bafana Bafana by long time friend Bongani Tshabalala:

Premature ejaculation, a guy’s worst nightmare. Now you are probably wondering what that has got to do with the soccer and more specifically Bafana bafana. To me it’s a rare occasion where I get to experience what it’s like to be on both sides i.e. What the woman might be going through and also highlight what us guys feel like, like during the ordeal because I felt something on finding out that we were beaten 3-0, I did’nt watch the game because I was working a 12 hour shift that day and had a 3am start the following day,so I went to bed after the first goal was scored. This loss to Uruguay presented this rare occasion to me and I’m going to do my best to explain it and in so doing hope to take away some lessons.

It starts out with a guy seeing this beautiful piece of God’s creation and him reacting to an inbuilt sense of wanting his long lost rib back from her and if he can’t get the rib back then she’ll do just fine. So the guy will step up and do the usual, you know, get her name or number or whatever he can get just to ensure that he can stay in touch with her for future prospects. She, as understanding as she is, it’s built in to women to be understanding of guys during those moments because guys act irrationally during that time and we all know that no one understands irrational like a woman. So to fast forward to the first date or better yet the first date when you have been assured or it looks like chances are good that you are going to score and you don’t even know how she could have let you get that far, sort of like bafana bafana being in the world cup in the first place! How did they get there anyway? You catch my drift… So you obviously have been preparing yourself for this day, your swag is on point and you smell like a crispy fresh 200 bucks note and you’re confident, you even start to notice that the girls that never gave you the time of day are suddenly giving you the play. You pick her up or she arrives in her own car it does’nt matter because she looks good and hot at the same time…
